Frequently Asked Questions
Do you design logos/Do branding?
I don’t design logos or do branding, but if you need a basic alteration to a logo or other graphics you already have, ask me about it! I’m also happy to recommend certain colors and fonts based on solid design principles and provide recommendations for high-quality affordable graphic designers.
Will I have to pay extra for anything?
That depends on what features you want on your website. You’ll have to pay for your own hosting and domain name, but I recommend services that are very affordable. For basic websites, you likely won’t have to pay extra for anything else unless you choose to upgrade to premium options (which is usually unnecessary for small businesses). If you’re looking to sell content on your website, expect to pay more, though I’ll recommend cost-saving alternatives where I can. I’ll note any extra costs you’ll need to pay in our contract before beginning.
How does payment work?
First, you’ll either choose a standard package or fill out the project inquiry form. I’ll email you an estimate/range of how much the project will cost and ask you some additional questions. Once we’ve worked out the details of what you need, I’ll send you a project proposal with the final flat rate (or hourly rate depending on what services you need). If you’re good with it, you’ll sign off on it, pay 50% up front, and then pay the other 50% once you’ve approved the final project.
Can you work with a theme besides Divi?
Sure! I’ve worked with other theme builders like Elementor and other WordPress themes as well. If you already have or simply prefer another theme, I can work with that. I can also recommend some excellent WordPress themes if you don’t like Divi but aren’t sure what to use instead.
I don't see what I need on your services page
There are a few services I’m willing to do for the right client but that I don’t currently advertise on my website (like content and copywriting). Think of it as a secret menu. Email me about what you need anyway, and I’ll let you know if I can help. If I can’t, I’ll try to point you toward someone who can.
How much does a website cost?
I have fixed-price website packages available on my Services page. Some features can be added for a flat rate. Others vary too much for me to calculate without knowing more about your project needs, so you’ll need to fill out a project inquiry form for me to give you an estimated quote. I might need to ask you some additional questions before I can give you a final project fee in the website proposal.
Do you only work with wordpress websites?
WordPress is my specialty, but depending on your needs, I’m open to working with other website platforms like Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, etc. I’ll also happily integrate your WordPress website with already existing stores and platforms like Shopify and Teachable.
Do you offer revisions?
I offer 2 rounds of revisions. During a new website project or a website redesign, I’ll reach out to you for feedback. I try to understand exactly what you want before beginning a project so I can hit close to the mark the first time and make sure you’re happy by the second round of revisions. If you want to add additional features outside of the scope of the project or change features after you’ve approved them, it may cost an additional fee. I try to give a little grace for tiny changes here and there, though.
